Bergün is situated midway between St Moritz and Davos and a short distance from Lenzerheide. The journey from Zurich is 150 km or 2.5 hours by train which is famous for its incredible engineering and scenery, and therefore has been designated a UNESCO Heritage Site. The community of Bergün is very large with 14,000 hectares and surrounded by 23 mountains higher than 3,000 m. It offers a huge variety of activities - in summer there are more than 200 km of marked hikes and Bergün boasts the highest olympic sized outdoor pool in Europe, and a superb 18 hole golf course a mere 10 minutes drive away in Alveneu, mountain bike trails, fishing, tennis, as well as a visit to officially the most beautiful spot in Switzerland.

In winter Bergün is most famous for having the best and most exciting 6 km long toboggan run from Preda to Bergün and a second 4 km toboggan run from Darlux to Bergün. There is also 25 km of prepared ski runs at Darlux (2550 m) for skiers of all abilities and absolutely no queues. There are 7 km of prepared cross country trails, 23 km of prepared winter hikes, snow shoe trails and the 3 km Albula Skateline Surava together with the nearby famous thermal bath of Alveneu.

Bergün also has a good selection of hotels and restaurants such as the incredible Art Deco Kurhaus.
